What is Socrates Cafe? Join Us! This group is for anyone who is curious and interested about life's greater questions. There is no religious slant, philosophical perspective, or (intentional) bias within this setting. It's about being an active and engaged listener and respecting the ideas of each person. The goal is to become a better questioner of life understanding that "... the wisest man is he that knows he does not know." ~Socrates. The agenda is to show up with a burning question of the day: "What is Courage?" "Are Happiness and Pleasure the same thing?" "What is the standard of beauty?" Do we choose our personality? Whatever question is on ones mind... We get together to have a conversation to discover what we think and what others think, whether we all agree or not. We vote on a question (the question with the most votes wins) and we begin the discussion. When: Every Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:45 pm. Who is invited: Anyone interested in becoming a better questioner of life and open to understanding our own thoughts of how we see the world.
